Overview
Just behind Sigiriya Rock Fortress, Pidurangala is a giant rock that offers the best face-on view of Sigiriya. The climb takes about 30-45 minutes, and from the summit the panorama of Sigiriya and surrounding jungle is one of Sri Lanka's most impressive scenes. A reclining Buddha statue and ancient temple ruins lie partway up the rock. Admission LKR 500. About 10 minutes by tuk-tuk from Sigiriya.
