Overview
Built in the 13th century, this 83m medieval belfry is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Climbing its 366 narrow, steep spiral steps rewards you with panoramic views of Bruges's red rooftops, canals, and the Flemish plain. A 47-bell carillon chimes a melody every 15 minutes, and the tower also houses a medieval treasure room and archive. The belfry features prominently in the film 'In Bruges' and is a symbol of the city. Admission about EUR 14. 15-minute walk from Bruges train station.
