Overview
Minnewater Park is a romantic park in southern Bruges, named after its central 'Lake of Love' (Minnewater). Legend says that couples who kiss by the lake are promised eternal love. The swans gliding across the lake are a Bruges icon — the city has kept swans since 1488 as penance for a revolt against Maximilian I. Stone bridges and tree-lined paths create a fairy-tale atmosphere.
