Overview
The Frietmuseum occupies the 15th-century Saaihalle building, considered one of Bruges's most beautiful, and is the world's only museum dedicated to fries. It traces how the potato traveled from South America to Europe, how the Belgian double-fry technique was invented, and the wide culture of sauces that accompany fries. Afterward, ticket holders get a discount on freshly fried fries at the museum's own basement fry shop — the perfect way to end the visit. Admission about EUR 12. 3-minute walk from Markt Square.
