Overview
Housed in a former convent lace school, the Kantcentrum (Lace Centre) tells the story of Bruges's centuries-old bobbin lace industry and education. Multimedia displays explain the many lace types and regional variations, and every afternoon except Sundays and holidays you can watch a live lace-making demonstration in the upstairs workshop — a rare close-up look at this delicate craft. Combine with the folklore museum across the street. Admission about EUR 8. 10-minute walk from Markt Square.
Opening Hours
