Overview
Completed in 1420, Bruges's City Hall was the first Gothic town hall in the Low Countries and is the centerpiece of Burg Square. Inside, the Gothic Hall dazzles visitors with its ornate painted wooden ceiling and 20th-century murals depicting Bruges's history. The ground floor has life-size portraits of Bruges's rulers and an interactive exhibit on the evolution of Burg Square, and the same ticket lets you also visit the nearby Brugse Vrije museum on weekends.
