Overview
Housed in the Palau Nacional, built for the 1929 International Exposition, MNAC is renowned for holding one of Europe's largest collections of Romanesque art. Visitors can enjoy frescoes relocated from small Pyrenean chapels alongside Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque, and modern paintings spanning the centuries. It's accessible on foot from Espanya station (Metro L1 red line or L3 green line), and the view over the city from the steps in front of the building is also excellent.
