Overview
Designed by Gaudi from 1900 and built over 14 years, Park Guell was originally planned as an upscale residential estate that turned into a public park after commercial failure. The mosaic-tiled dragon fountain (El Drac), the world's longest serpentine bench, and the leaning stone columns of the Hypostyle Hall capture Gaudi's playful imagination. From the upper terraces, the panorama of Barcelona and the Mediterranean is stunning. Monumental Zone admission about EUR 10 (advance booking required). 20-minute walk from Metro L3 Vallcarca or Bus 24.
Opening Hours
09:30-19:30 (varies by season, until 20:00 May to August)
Travel Tips
