Overview
Completed in 1823, this is Hungary's largest Protestant (Calvinist) church and the heart of the Hungarian Reformed faith. It's also where Lajos Kossuth declared Hungary's independence from the Habsburgs in 1849. The simple Neoclassical facade contrasts with a spacious interior seating 3,000, and climbing the bell tower yields a fine view over Debrecen.
