Overview
Built in 1833, this 167m stone bridge spanning the Hortobágy River with its nine arches is Hungary's longest stone arch bridge. A symbol of Hortobágy National Park and the Great Plain, standing on the bridge reveals the grand meeting of endless grasslands and sky. The Hortobágy Csárda (inn) beside the bridge serves traditional Hungarian food. An annual bridge festival is held each summer nearby. Free to visit. About 40 minutes by bus from Debrecen.
