Located behind the Basilica of San Lorenzo, this Medici family mausoleum comprises the opulent, semi-precious-stone-inlaid Chapel of the Princes and Michelangelo's New Sacristy, where he designed both the architecture and sculptures. The New Sacristy holds Medici tombs adorned with Michelangelo's allegorical figures Day and Night, Dawn and Dusk. Admission about EUR 9. Conveniently close to San Lorenzo Market.
