Overview
Baldassare Longhena began designing this baroque Grand Canal palace in 1649, and Giorgio Massari completed it in the 1750s. It was once owned by the son of poet Robert Browning, and today it operates as a museum showing 18th-century Venetian aristocratic life through frescoes, furniture, and porcelain. The ceiling frescoes by Giovanni Battista Tiepolo are a highlight, along with the lavishly decorated ballroom. Admission is about EUR 10.
