Overview
Split between a South Building themed as a 'journey to Antarctica' and a North Building on cetacean evolution, this is one of Japan's largest aquariums. Orcas and belugas headline the north wing, and dolphin performances fill a main pool seating 3,000 — among the country's biggest. The south wing runs from a sardine tornado to penguins and a vast coral-reef tank. Combine it with the Antarctic research ship Fuji and the Port Building observatory for a full Garden Pier day.
