Overview
Opened by JR Central in 2011, this hall parades 39 real vehicles: the MLX01 superconducting maglev that set a then-world record of 581 km/h, the C62 steam locomotive, and Shinkansen from the original 0 Series to the yellow 923 'Doctor Yellow'. Shinkansen driving simulators (by lottery), one of Japan's largest railway dioramas, and hands-on maglev physics exhibits round it out. It bookends Nagoya's technology story alongside the Toyota museum — and shares Kinjofuto Station with Legoland.
