Overview
Completed in 1954 at 180m, this is Japan's first integrated broadcast tower — four years older than Tokyo Tower and by the same designer, Tachu Naito. A 2020 renewal made it the first tower designated an Important Cultural Property, and The Tower Hotel now lets guests sleep amid its riveted steel. The 90m Sky Deck and 100m open-air Sky Balcony look down the green spine of Hisaya-odori Park and across the city. Facing Oasis 21, it's the natural finale to an evening in Sakae.
Opening Hours
10:00-21:00 (until 21:40 Saturdays; last entry 20 minutes before close)
🚇 Getting there
Right at Exit 4B of Hisaya-odori Station; 3 minutes from Sakae Station.
⏱️ How long to visit
About 1 hour.
🌅 Best time to visit
Go up just before sunset and stay for the city lights.
Travel Tips
Shoot the tower from the Oasis 21 deck, then the view back down from the tower. Book evening tickets online to be safe.
