Overview
Built in 1681 during the Dutch colonial era as a hospital for VOC sailors and staff, the Dutch Hospital is one of Colombo's oldest buildings. Restored in 2011 as a boutique shopping and dining precinct, it now houses Ministry of Crab (Chef Dharshan Munidasa's celebrated crab restaurant), Pettiagoz beer garden, and boutique clothing shops. Thick whitewashed walls and a courtyard garden preserve the colonial atmosphere. Free admission. In Colombo Fort, a 10-minute walk from Galle Face Hotel.
Opening Hours
