Overview
Hulhumale is a man-made island reclaimed from the sea starting in 1997 and connected to Male by a bridge — just 10 minutes by car. Its east coast offers about 2 km of clean white sand and turquoise water with a resort-quality feel, plus swimming, sunbathing, and water sports. Quieter and more comfortable than Male itself, it's also popular as an arrival/departure-night base, and a free airport shuttle runs to the island. Free admission. About 10 minutes by bridge from Male.
