Overview
Created in 1968 on the site of the former Sultan's Palace, Sultan Park is a green space in central Male that doubles as the National Museum's grounds. In one of the world's most densely built cities, this garden of palms and tropical flowers is a welcome retreat, with fountains, small ponds, and a children's playground. Right next to the Grand Friday Mosque — easy to add to any city walking tour. Free admission. In central Male.
