Overview
First built in 1889, the Capilano Suspension Bridge in North Vancouver spans 140m at a height of 70m. Crossing the swaying bridge above the lush old-growth forest is a thrilling experience. Cliffwalk (a cliffside walkway) and Treetops Adventure (a series of suspended bridges among the trees) round out three different experiences in one location. In winter, the Canyon Lights event lights up the forest with LEDs for a magical evening visit.
Travel Tips
Free shuttles run from downtown. In peak summer, an early-morning visit helps you beat the crowds, and the forest has a unique atmosphere even on rainy days.
