Overview
Science World occupies the geodesic dome built as the 'Expo Centre' for the 1986 World Exposition, designed by architect Bruno Freschi, and formally opened as a non-profit science center in May 1989. Located at 1455 Quebec Street at the eastern end of False Creek near the Main Street-Science World SkyTrain station, it offers a wide range of hands-on exhibits including Kidspace for younger children. Adult admission is CA$35.95, with rotating special exhibits throughout the year. SkyTrain access is recommended over driving, as nearby parking can be expensive.
