Queen Elizabeth Park

Little Mountain, Vancouver

Overview

Queen Elizabeth Park sits atop Little Mountain at roughly 125 meters, Vancouver's highest point, on a 52-hectare site that was once a basalt quarry before becoming Canada's first civic arboretum. It was named to commemorate the 1939 visit of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth, and today houses the Bloedel Floral Conservatory, Canada's first geodesic-dome conservatory, opened in 1969. The park itself is free to enter, while the Bloedel Conservatory charges separate admission (roughly CA$7-8 for adults; verify exact current pricing before visiting). It is located at 4600 Cambie Street, with free parking available on site.
