Overview
Inside Stanley Park, the Vancouver Aquarium is Canada's largest aquarium and has been a center for marine conservation and research since opening in 1956. Around 70,000 marine animals call it home, including beloved sea otters, beluga whales from Canada's north, Humboldt penguins, and moray eels, offering a survey of Pacific Coast ecosystems in one visit. A 4D theater, Amazon rainforest exhibit, and overnight Sleepover programs make it a hit with families. It also runs Canada's largest marine wildlife rescue and rehabilitation program.
