Overview

The Museum of Anthropology traces its origins to UBC's 1927 acquisition of the Frank Burnett Collection and Musqueam house posts, and now holds roughly 50,000 ethnographic objects and over 535,000 archaeological items, including the world's foremost collection of Northwest Coast First Nations art. The Great Hall, designed by architect Arthur Erickson, showcases monumental totem poles and Bill Reid's iconic sculpture "The Raven and the First Men." Adult admission is CA$26, with half-price entry every Thursday evening from 5pm to 9pm. The museum is located at 6393 NW Marine Drive on UBC's Point Grey campus, reachable by UBC-bound bus followed by a short walk across campus.
