Overview
Founded in 1910, Kunsthaus Zürich is Switzerland's largest art museum, holding a vast collection from the Middle Ages to the present. Works by Monet, Manet, Cézanne, Picasso, Chagall, Munch, and Giacometti span Impressionism to contemporary art, with the world's largest Alberto Giacometti collection a standout. A major expansion designed by David Chipperfield opened in 2021, doubling the exhibition space. Admission about CHF 23 (free on Wednesdays). Tram 3/5/8/9 to Kunsthaus stop.

Travel Tips
Admission is free on Wednesdays. The Giacometti rooms and Impressionist galleries are must-sees, and the extension's contemporary section is excellent.
