Overview

Built in the 13th century, St. Peter is Zurich's oldest parish church, with traces of an even older chapel beneath it. Its clock tower features a face roughly 8.6-9m in diameter, said to be the largest church clock face in Europe. Admission is free, and the church reopened in November 2025 after restoration work. About 2 minutes' walk from the Helmhaus tram stop (lines 2/4/8/9), or 8-10 minutes from the main station.
