Overview
At 871m, Uetliberg is Zurich's 'home mountain,' reachable in about 20 minutes from the main station on the S10 train. The lookout tower at the top reveals Zurich, Lake Zurich, the Limmat valley, and an Alpine panorama from the Eiger to Säntis on clear days. Sunset is especially stunning. Summer brings hiking and mountain biking; winter offers a toboggan run. The 'Planet Trail' is an educational hike scaling down the solar system. S10 return about CHF 18 (free with Zurich Card). About 20 minutes from Zurich main station on the S10.
