Overview
Completed in 1990 just after the Wall fell, this open-air gallery features murals by 118 artists from around the world, painted along a surviving stretch of the Wall beside the Spree River, all on themes of freedom and unity. The most famous mural depicts Brezhnev and Honecker's 'Fraternal Kiss,' alongside other iconic images like a Trabant car bursting through the wall. Though repeatedly damaged and restored over the decades, it remains one of the most vivid places to feel the history of division firsthand.
