Overview
Built in 1969 by the East German government to showcase socialism's prowess, the 368-meter Fernsehturm is Germany's tallest structure. Rising over Alexanderplatz, its sphere recalls a spaceship and gives the skyline its iconic silhouette. The 203-meter observation deck offers a 360-degree panorama of Berlin, and the revolving 'Sphere' restaurant at 207m turns once every 30 minutes while you dine. On clear days, you can see up to 80 km. Admission about EUR 24.50 (online booking recommended). 2-minute walk from S/U-Bahn Alexanderplatz station.
