Overview
Commissioned in 1612 by Queen Marie de' Medici, this garden's Luxembourg Palace now serves as the seat of the French Senate. Highlights include symmetrical flowerbeds, the Medici Fountain, around 100 statues, and an octagonal pond where children sail toy boats. It's a wonderful place to glimpse everyday Parisian life, from picnics on the lawn to readers relaxing in the garden's iconic green chairs. Admission is free. Right at RER B Luxembourg station.
