Overview
The Wayang Museum, located on Kota Tua's Fatahillah Square, holds a collection of thousands of traditional puppets from across Indonesia, including wayang kulit (leather shadow puppets) and wayang golek (wooden rod puppets). The building itself stands on the site of a 17th-century Dutch Reformed church. Live wayang performances are held on Sunday mornings.
