Overview
The historic building at Getreidegasse 9 where Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born on 27 January 1756. Three floors display instruments from his childhood (including the violin he played as a boy), family portraits, and autographed scores. Getreidegasse itself, with its medieval wrought-iron shop signs, is Salzburg's premier shopping street. Admission about EUR 12. 10 minutes by bus 1 from the main station or a 5-minute walk within the Old Town.
