Overview
The Salzburg Panorama Museum displays Johann Michael Sattler's 'Sattler Panorama' (1829), a monumental 26m-diameter, 5m-high 360-degree painting. First unveiled at Easter 1829, it toured Europe to great acclaim over the following decade and is celebrated for its astonishingly precise depiction of early-19th-century Salzburg's architecture and topography. Located on Residenzplatz, it connects underground to the Salzburg Museum. A combined ticket with the Salzburg Museum is recommended; check salzburgmuseum.at for the current standalone adult price. Fully walkable within the Old Town, right next to the Residenz.
