The Museum of Tomorrow (Museu do Amanhã) is a neofuturistic science museum designed by Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava, sitting on Maua Pier over Guanabara Bay. Opened in 2015, it's divided into five zones — Cosmos, Earth, Anthropocene, Tomorrow, and Now — with interactive exhibits on sustainable cities and future scenarios. At night the building glows like a work of art and symbolizes the redevelopment of the Porto Maravilha district. Admission is R$40 full price, R$20 half price, with a special R$10 promotion on the 10th of each month (free under 6). Reachable on foot from Uruguaiana metro station or the VLT tram.
