Overview
Founded in 1905, the Pinacoteca is São Paulo's oldest art museum, housing over 10,000 works centered on Brazilian art from the 19th century to the present. The building, renovated by Paulo Mendes da Rocha, is a masterpiece of Brazilian modern architecture, with its brick exterior beautifully contrasting the modern interior. It connects to the Jardim da Luz park behind it for a post-gallery stroll. The nearby Museum of the Portuguese Language and the Neoclassical Luz train station are also worth visiting.
Opening Hours
