Overview
Bonsecours Market is located at 350 Rue Saint-Paul East in Old Montreal, designed by British architect William Footner, with construction beginning in 1844 and completed in 1847. It briefly housed the Parliament of the United Canadas in 1849 and served as Montreal's City Hall from 1852 to 1878, and was designated a National Historic Site of Canada in 1984. Entry to the building is free, and inside are 15 boutiques selling Quebec-made crafts alongside restaurants and cafés. Hours are Monday-Wednesday 10 a.m.-6 p.m., Thursday-Saturday 10 a.m.-7 p.m., and Sunday 10 a.m.-6 p.m.; it's a short walk from Champ-de-Mars métro station on the Orange Line.
