Overview
RÉSO (or 'La Ville Souterraine') is a roughly 32km network of pedestrian tunnels under downtown Montreal - the world's largest underground city. Around 60 buildings, 7 hotels, 10 metro stations, 1,200+ offices, 200 restaurants, and 2,000 shops connect underground, letting you shop, eat, and transit through Montreal's brutal winter without putting on a coat. About 500,000 people use it daily, making it as much urban infrastructure as a mall. Free. Enter from McGill, Bonaventure, Place-des-Arts, and other metro stations.
