Overview
The Montreal Biodome is located at 4777 Pierre-De Coubertin Avenue, right next to Olympic Stadium, occupying the former 1976 Olympic velodrome that was converted and opened as a museum in 1992. It recreates four indoor ecosystems — tropical rainforest, Laurentian forest, Gulf of St. Lawrence, and polar regions — letting visitors observe capybaras, penguins, and tropical birds up close. In summer it's open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and the rest of the year Tuesday to Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., closed Mondays (except holidays). Adult admission is CA$23.75 and children (5-17) CA$12.25; it's directly accessible from the Viau métro station on the Green Line.
