Overview
The Montreal Insectarium is located within the Montreal Botanical Garden grounds at 4581 Sherbrooke Street East, founded by Georges Brossard and opened on February 7, 1990. Its building is designed to resemble a stylized insect when viewed from above, a shape also visible from the Olympic Stadium observation tower. It's open Tuesday to Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., closed Mondays, with adult admission at CA$18 and children (5-17) at CA$9, free for ages 4 and under. It's a short walk from Pie-IX métro station on the Green Line and pairs well with a visit to the adjacent Botanical Garden and Biodome.
