Overview
The Glacier Garden centers on Ice Age glacial potholes discovered by chance during cellar excavations in 1872, roughly 20,000 years old. It also houses the world's oldest mountain relief model and the 1896 mirror maze 'Alhambra,' where 90 mirrors playfully disorient visitors. A newer exhibit, 'Felsenwelt,' extends into the sandstone cave interior. Admission is CHF 24 for adults, CHF 18 for students/seniors, and CHF 12 for children aged 6-16; free with the Swiss Travel Pass. It's located on Denkmalstrasse right next to the Lion Monument, making the two an easy joint visit.
