Overview
Playa Blanca on Barú Island (technically a peninsula) south of Cartagena is one of the Caribbean coast's most beautiful beaches. About 1km of powder-white sand meets translucent turquoise water in a textbook Caribbean paradise. Lounge in a hammock, kayak, snorkel, and sample fresh ceviche and coconut lemonada from beach vendors. Day trips and overnight beach camping are both options.
Opening Hours
Open 24 hours (boat tours typically depart 08:00-09:00).
Travel Tips
