Overview
Officially named the Plaza de Toros de la Real Maestranza de Caballería, construction began in 1761 and took over a century to complete, making it one of Spain's oldest and most beautiful bullrings. Its striking Baroque facade combines white walls with yellow trim, and inside is a bullfighting museum displaying paintings, costumes, and posters related to the tradition. Actual bullfights take place from Easter through mid-October, and on non-fight days visitors can join guided tours (in English and Spanish) departing every 20 minutes to see the arena and museum. It's just a short walk from the Torre del Oro and the Triana Bridge.
