Overview
Built on the site of a former mosque, Seville Cathedral is the world's largest Gothic cathedral and a UNESCO World Heritage site. The Giralda bell tower was originally the mosque's minaret, and its 36 ramps lead to a sweeping rooftop view of the city. Inside lie Christopher Columbus's tomb and the colossal gilded altarpiece (Retablo Mayor), the largest of its kind. Together with the adjacent Royal Alcazar and the Archive of the Indies, it forms the core of Seville's historic center. Admission about EUR 12 (free on Monday afternoons). 5-minute walk from Metro L1 Puerta de Jerez station.
Opening Hours
