Overview
Opened in 1950 on a hilltop in Helsinki, Linnanmäki is Finland's oldest amusement park and uniquely charges no entrance fee — visitors pay per ride or buy a wristband. Its 1951 wooden roller coaster, still running today, is the park's signature attraction, and the 40-plus rides come with sweeping views over Helsinki. Run as a non-profit, all proceeds go to the Finnish Children's Welfare League, giving the park real social significance.
