Aura Riverside

Overview

The Aura River cuts through the center of Turku, with restaurant boats, cafes, and galleries lining its banks. Dining on a moored restaurant boat is a Turku tradition in summer, and the riverside terraces fill with locals enjoying beers in the long northern light. Walk or cycle along the river all the way to Turku Castle for a slice of the city's character, and in winter the frozen river creates a striking, quiet scene.
