Overview
Turku's central outdoor market square has been a part of daily life since 1827. Stalls sell fresh vegetables, berries, fish, flowers, and Finnish design souvenirs, while small booths serve freshly made karjalanpiirakka, sauna sausage, and berry juice. The 1896 indoor Market Hall (Kauppahalli) next to the square is also worth visiting for year-round fresh ingredients and Finnish delicacies. Free. 5-minute walk from Turku Central Station.
