Overview
This unique underground site preserves narrow 17th-century closes and houses that were built over when the City Chambers were constructed above them in 1753. Named after merchant Mary King, the close is steeped in stories of plague-era life and local legend, brought to life through immersive guided tours led by costumed actors. Adult tour price about GBP 20 (advance booking required). Located in the heart of the Royal Mile.
