The rock strata, formed roughly 300 million years ago, are clearly visible in cross-section, and on clear days you can see the Aran Islands, Galway Bay and the Kerry Peninsula. O'Brien's Tower marks the highest viewpoint, and the cliff-top walking trail reveals colonies of over 30,000 seabirds. Visitor center admission about EUR 8 (parking included). About 2 hours by bus tour from Galway.
