Overview
Built in the 15th-16th centuries, this fortified townhouse belonged to the Lynch family, the most powerful of Galway's 14 ruling 'tribes.' It's considered one of the best-preserved medieval townhouses in Ireland, its facade decorated with elaborate stone coats of arms and gargoyles. Now a bank branch, its lobby can be viewed free during business hours. Free to view exterior; in the heart of the Latin Quarter.
