Overview
Banganga Tank is a sacred Hindu water tank said to date to the 12th century, tucked between high-rise apartments on Malabar Hill, making it one of Mumbai's oldest structures. Legend holds that Lord Rama shot an arrow to draw water from the Ganges here, and the tank is ringed by Hindu temples and stepped ghats. It's also known for its annual Banganga Festival of classical music. Free entry.
