Overview
The Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya (formerly the Prince of Wales Museum), opened in 1922, is Mumbai's largest museum, its grand domed Indo-Saracenic building housing over 50,000 artifacts including ancient sculpture, Mughal miniatures, ceramics, weaponry, and natural history specimens. Located near the Gateway of India, it's easy to combine with a visit there, and features gardens and a cafe. Foreign visitor entry about INR 700.
